Manchester United propose terms to Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy

It has been a crazy week to be covering Manchester United news, but one name I didn’t expect to top up was Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

According to Caught Offside, Manchester United have had some contact with Jamie Vardy’s entourage, even making their terms clear to the striker – that they are only interested in signing him on a one-year deal.

This gives Vardy, 35, a chance make a shock big move and Leicester City also get a chance to cash in on one of their past-it players.

It presents a risk to The Foxes because Vardy is still a goalscorer, despite missing a chunk of last season due to injury.

Ten Hag wants another forward because we are light in the attacking department.

Another forward recently linked with a move to United is Spain international Raul De Tomas, but Vardy is Premier League proven, if Ten Hag decides to go down that route.

On a more serious note, however, is signing another striker in his mid-30s the only solution?

Desperate times for desperate measures.

  1. There is not the slightest chance that Leicester will let Vardy go. If they do so, they will alienate a large portion of the fan base as well as the manager who would probably quit.

  2. Yeah I agree with Ash G there isn’t the slightest chance that JV will leave this club and if the remotest happens and he did go? Rodgers better pack his bags!….said for a while now he keeps coming up with the same excuses blaming the players never himself because his lack of tactical vision!

  3. JV will not leave! and if the remotest happened Rodgers better pack his bags as he will alienate the fans!
