Manchester United deny Cristiano Ronaldo contract termination claims

Manchester United deny reports regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club.

On Saturday evening, Sky Sports ran a report suggesting United wanted to see a ‘change’ in Ronaldo’s attitude or they would be forced to terminate the forward’s contract.

That doesn’t appear to be the case.

According to the Manchester Evening News, these reports are ‘false’ and United are adamant his contract is not under discussion in terms of being terminated.

The report adds that Ronaldo is expected to remain at Old Trafford this summer, despite asking the club to be sold this summer.

Recent reports suggest both Inter and Milan turned down the opportunity to sign Ronaldo this summer. And, on top of that, there wasn’t a flurry of offers when he signalled his wishes to depart United for a second time in his career.

United never received that reasonable offer Jorge Mendes was banking on.

Ronaldo is expected to lead the line against Liverpool in United’s next game.
