‘Disrespectful’ – Lebouef slams Ronaldo for behaviour at Manchester United

Former Chelsea and France defender Frank Leboeuf has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo for his recent behaviour.

The Manchester United striker, 37, wishes to leave Old Trafford this season after returning to training last week along with his agent for showdown talks.

On top of that, he was among several players to leave Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano before the full-time whistle.

Speaking to ESPN FC, Lebouef hit out at the five-time Ballon d’Or winner said: “Cristiano Ronaldo’s behaviour is wrong for me.

“It’s not professional with all due respect and the fact I appreciate the player and what he achieved in his career. But it’s not professional.

“It’s disrespectful towards the club. You have to stay, you have to show respect to the other players, to the fans that came, you still belong to the club.

“You signed for it, you have to play for them. They want to keep you so the only thing you have to say is at least sit on the bench and wait.”

The video also includes insight from Gabrielle Marcotti and Steve Nicol.

Nicol reckons Ronaldo is becoming an early problem for Ten Hag.
