Ella Toone is an England hero.
The Manchester United star scored the opening goal as the Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 in the Euro 2022 final.
Toone’s delightful chip will be watched again as one of the highlights of the European Championships this summer.
Sarina Wiegman’s side conceded later in the second half and the game was forced into extra time.
Man City’s Chloe Kelly scored a 110th minute winner to make it a night to remember at Wembley.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was impressed by Toone’s finish and took to Twitter after the match, saying: “Absolutely unreal scenes at Wembley!! Massive congrats to the amazing @ellatoone99 take a bow for that finish too.”

However, the team had a victory parade at Trafalgar Square on Monday afternoon, and Alex Scott turned the attention on Toone when she said: “Even Harry Kane was in awe of you last night, tweeting.”
The 22-year-old jokingly replied: “Yeah, I thought him that.”
