Former Manchester United goalkeeper coach Frans Hoek joins Phil Brown on the latest Beyond The Pitch podcast.

He arrived at the club with Louis van Gaal, who he has worked with throughout his career as a keeper coach, and this was a chance for Hoek to share his opinions on United with Erik ten Hag becoming the most recent Dutchman to manage the team.
There is excitement from Hoek when it comes to Ten Hag and new signing Tyrell Malacia. He worked with the young left-back in the national team set-up and says we’ve got a fighting on our hands.
Moreover, Ten Hag doesn’t believe De Gea can’t play out from the back. This was not something Van Gaal’s staff thought was an issue for the Spaniard.
Ten Hag was heard shouting at the Spaniard in Melbourne on Tuesday for giving away possession, with the help of some colourful language.
It’s always interesting to hear different perspectives and Hoek will soon be releasing a book on the goalkeeper position. Or should I say goal-player?

We would like to wish Hoek the best with his forthcoming book release.
