Marc Skinner is about to welcome Maya Le Tissier to Manchester United.
Brighton defender Maya Le Tissier is set to join Manchester United in a long-term deal after the Red Devils agreed to pay her release clause.
According to the Telegraph, multiple sources have confirmed the fee to be in the region of £50,000 – £60,000 for Le Tissier to join United.
The report adds that the paperwork is close to be concluded.
Meanwhile, BBC Sport claims Le Tissier had previously attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.
This comes as an exciting signing for manager Marc Skinner, who is aiming to lead the women’s side to UEFA Champions League qualification for the first time, after narrowly missing out last term.
BT Sport journalist and commentator Michael McCann claims Le Tissier “has got it all” and believes it’s the sort of signing that can help United get Champions League football.
*Huge* signing for #MUWomen
I've been raving about how good Maya Le Tissier is for *years*
She has got it *all*.
Excited to see how she goes in the #BarclaysFAWSL next season, the kind of signing that can help Man United get #UCL.https://t.co/03wTZOpIw2 https://t.co/X7w6uJcAgA

Le Tissier holds the record for the most appearances by a teenager in the Women’s Super League since last season. That alone suggests United are signing a 20-year-old with lots of potential.
The Brighton starlet has also represented England at under-23 level and will hope this move to United gives her a greater chance to make the senior Lionesses squad.
