(Video) Sky Sports reporter says two Man Utd signings won’t join tour of Australia

Manchester United are moving quickly in the transfer market and are steadily getting their business done as Erik ten Hag continues to prepare his side for a challenging season.

The Dutchman has overseen two games so far, with wins over Liverpool and Melbourne Victory ensuring a winning start to life in charge of the club.

Tyrell Malacia was announced as Ten Hag’s first recruit of the summer earlier this month but now, Christian Eriksen has also joined the club after signing a three-year contract.

Lisandro Martinez, the Ajax centre-back, is expected to be named United’s third signing of the summer, with a deal for the 24-year-old advancing.

Despite Eriksen signing and Martinez arriving imminently, there are no plans for them to join United on their tour of Australia this month. That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, as seen below.

“United’s business, picking up quite quickly. However, the pair won’t fly out to Australia on pre-season tour,” Reddy told Sky Sports, via Football Daily.

“Initially, that was the thought – perhaps they could come link up with their teammates but there’s such a short spell left here in Australia.

“And when you consider how long the flight is, adjusting to the jet lag, it felt it wasn’t really beneficial. They can stay back and deal with any admin they need to take care of.”
