Ten Hag provides update on Manchester United’s search for new signings

Erik ten Hag has responded to questions about Manchester United’s pursuit to sign Frenkie de Jong and other potential signings in the transfer window.

The Red Devils have only announced one signing so far this summer in the shape of Tyrell Malacia, a young international from the Netherlands who previously played against Erik ten Hag’s teams at Ajax in a promising Feyenoord side.

We are expected to add Christian Eriksen to the list of incomings this summer on a free transfer, although that deal is said to be held up by medicals, so he has not travelled with the first team squad to Bangkok for the first leg of their pre-season tour.

However, at the press conference this morning, Ten Hag did not want to be drawn into talking about Frenkie de Jong, as he didn’t feel it was appropriate to discuss other club’s players by name.

“I never talk about players who are not under contract of Man United, players from different clubs, so I cannot tell anything about this issue,” Ten Hag said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

Ten Hag did say that United are looking for signings in midfield and attack this summer, even if he made sure not to drop any names to the media, as per Fabrizio Romano.

United need to start working for efficiently in the market to ensure that Ten Hag has his new signings for the upcoming campaign. They’re already in Bangkok yet Malacia is the only new addition?

Something isn’t it.
