Manchester United second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson is reportedly closing in on a move to Nottingham Forrest.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Henderson has already agreed personal terms with Forest over a loan move and talks are progressing between the two clubs.

The newly promoted side will be looking to strengthen their squad this summer in order to give them the best chance possible to stay in the top-flight next season.

After watching their rise to promotion over the past 12 months, while keeping an eye on United loanee James Garner, I’ve enjoyed Steve Cooper’s side and wouldn’t be against sending more of our players to The City Ground.

However, it annoys me that we have a talented keeper like Henderson, who has not had a chance to develop his game over the past year.

He previously looked a fine prospect during two impressive loan spells at Sheffield United where he proved he is good enough for the Premier League.

Forest fans will be delighted to see a top keeper join them for next season.

This should give Henderson a chance to get into Gareth Southgate’s squad ahead of the Qatar World Cup later this year.
