Chelsea will reportedly consider offers for N’Golo Kante this summer.
Manchester United have been linked with an ambitious bid to sign the Chelsea midfielder, with manager Thomas Tuchel said to be concerned about the player’s injury record after a tough season at Stamford Bridge.
The Metro claims the Blues are willing to listen to offers for the 31-year-old, but I’m sure they would change their tune if John Murtough came knocking on their door.
Then again, maybe they wouldn’t if Tuchel really thinks Kante’s legs have gone.
We don’t want a repeat of the Nemanja Matic situation where we sign a player without any sell on value, knowing he is past his best. The Serb was a brilliant servant to the club but his legs have been gone for the past two years.
Matic will soon announce his new club but it looks like he will be having a reunion with Jose Mourinho at AS Roma.
With United struggling in midfield for years, it’s important for the new manager to address these problems early on.
Surely there is someone younger than Kante out there?
