Bayern Munich keep an eye on Marcus Rashford situation

Marcus Rashford had arguably his worst season since becoming a senior player at Manchester United, but he is still attracting interest ahead of the transfer market.

According to the Telegraph, Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Rashford and could make a move under the right circumstances. The Bundesliga giants could lose Robert Lewandowski this summer and it is understood that they have a number of targets with the aim of bringing goals to the side.

The report adds that the 24-year-old wants to stay at United to work his way back into the line-up after losing his place to Anthony Elanga under Ralf Rangnick, with Erik ten Hag recently unveiled as the new manager.

As someone who adores Rashford, I would like nothing more than to see him get back to his best on the pitch, and I hope he can hitting the ground running for pre-season following his engagement to childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi.

Maybe this is a sign that his life is coming together, and I believe that getting away from the spotlight for the summer will do him the world of good, too.

Bayern’s interest means nothing unless they make United an offer the club can’t refuse, so I strongly suspect Rashford will be playing his football at Old Trafford next season.

Rashford scored only five goals this season, having netted 21 the previous season and 22 the year before that.
