(Video) Rangnick explains decision to award Hannibal with full Man United debut

Manchester United are preparing to take on Crystal Palace in what will be their final Premier League game of the season.

The 2021-22 season has been an underwhelming campaign for the Red Devils and with just one game left to play, the best the 20-time league winners can hope for is Europa League qualification.

However, despite what has been a hugely disappointing 10-months, one of the club’s rare positives has come in the form of youth star Hannibal.

The Tunisia international made his senior debut last month, coming on as a late substitute against Liverpool.

However, Sunday’s final day will see the teenager make his full competitive debut and speaking about his decision to award the young midfielder with the opportunity to impress the onlooking Erik Ten Hag, interim manager Ralf Rangnick said: “He should just try and play as he trains.

“He was good in training in the last two weeks and that is why I decided to have him in the starting 11 today.”
