Manchester United are in action on Sunday for the final time this season, as Ralf Rangnick’s side make the short trip to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Victory over Patrick Vieira’s side would seal qualification for next season’s Europa League, with anything other than three points leaving them with the possibility of dropping into the Europa Conference League.

West Ham are two points behind United with a superior goal difference and should they win at Brighton, United will need to match their result.

Erik ten Hag was announced as the club’s permanent successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last month but an official unveiling is yet to be made. Now, there are reports that the Dutchman will be in the stands to watch United on Sunday afternoon.

That’s according to BBC journalist Simon Stone, who adds that United will hold a press conference unveiling his appointment tomorrow when the season has been wrapped up.

The 53-year-old terminated his Ajax contract earlier than expected to get a headstart on work at Old Trafford but will not officially begin his work until tomorrow, it is believed.
