It was another glorious night for Manchester United’s young stars as they lifted the FA Youth Cup at Old Trafford following their dramatic 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

Rhys Bennett gave United an early lead but the away side retaliated just before half-time. Alejandro Garnacho, the man of the moment, scored his sixth and seventh in the FA Youth Cup this season to secure the club’s 11th crown, a feat bettered by no other club.

There were a whopping 67,000 people in attendance to watch United lift the trophy – the most in the competition’s history. It was also United’s first FA Youth Cup win since 2011 when Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba both won it as teenagers.

The latest group of players, labeled as the Class of ’22, will be hoping for similar careers with the senior side.
