Erik ten Hag lifted the Eredivisie as Ajax manager for a third time when the Dutch giants beat Heerenveen 5-0 on Wednesday night.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who is the chief executive for Ajax, had some words for the departing manager at full-time to bid him farewell.
“Erik… sometimes I thought ‘you are a weird man’.
“But you surpassed all expectations. Dominant football, semi-final Champions League, League titles.
“You will leave for a club that is close to my heart. I wish you all the best there. Thank you, Erik ten Hag!”
