(Video) Sir Jim Ratcliffe responds to calls he should buy Man Utd instead of Chelsea

Manchester United fans have wanted to see the back of the Glazer family for almost two decades and their refusal to sell has damaged their relationship with the supporters to the point of no return.

Their negligent ownership has turned the biggest football club in the world into a laughing stock and when reports emerged that boyhood Manchester United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe was submitting a bid to buy Chelsea, there were question marks as to why he wasn’t trying to purchase the club he supports.

“You know, I have a split allegiance, effectively, really. When I was in London for many many years, Chelsea I could go and watch, it was quite difficult to go and watch United,” he told BBC reporter Dan Roan when quizzed on the matter, as seen above.

“Yes, I mean, I can understand that but Manchester United is not for sale,” he added when pressed further on calls for him to buy the club he supported growing up.

The Glazer family have withstood the wrath of United fans for many years and despite supporters’ best efforts, the Florida-based dynasty has shown no signs of being ready to discuss a sale of United.
