Manchester United will take on Aston Villa in Perth this summer as part of their pre-season tour.
It will be the first pre-season tour with Erik ten Hag as manager and he will be using all of the fixtures to decide on his best line-up before the competitive fixtures begin.
United have four games scheduled in Thailand and Australia – with Villa added to the list of opponents for the friendly matches.
Ten Hag’s first match will be against Liverpool in Bangkok on July 12. The team will then travel to Melbourne to face Melbourne Victory on July 15 and Crystal Palace on July 19.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United will then head to Perth, where they will take on Aston Villa on July 23.
This is great news for fans who enjoy going on the pre-season tours because it’s the first summer trip that has been overseas for three years.
We hope Ten Hag is pleasantly surprised by what the current players offer on tour because a lot of them have their work cut out to impress the Dutchman.
