According to multiple sources, Andreas Pereira received a call from Manchester United football director John Murtough.

ESPN state that Murtough told Pereira that if his loan move to Flamengo does not become permanent, Erik ten Hag would be keen to have the Brazilian at United.

To add some context to this, it’s important to note that Ten Hag worked with the midfielder during their time at PSV Eindhoven.

Pereira also has a year left on his contract at Old Trafford.

While a potential return for Pereira does not fill me with excitement, I’m backing the manager to make the right decisions and it is important that he has players who understand how to play in his system.
