(Video) Mohamed Salah says Man Utd made life easier for Liverpool in 4-0 win

If losing by four goals to your worst rivals wasn’t enough, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has rubbed salt in United’s wounds by admitting that Ralf Rangnick’s side made life easier for them.

United never looked like they were there to compete with Liverpool but rather go through the motions and get the 90 minutes over and done with as little fuss as possible.

They did just that – they didn’t lay a glove on Liverpool and Salah, who scored two easy goals tonight, has now admitted that United’s tactics made it easy for the home side.

“I think they make our life easier in the midfield and the back,” Salah told Sky Sports, via Football Daily, after the game. “They always try to give us the ball in a situation like one vs one.

“So they make our life much easier so I think when we defend, we had a clean sheet here, clean sheet there, so they make our life easier to score.

“We just go to the game and want to score one goal, once we get the first, we want to get the second, when we get the second, we want to get the third.”

It’s easy to underestimate just how damaging this result was for Manchester United and Salah’s comments just compound the misery. United used to be a thorn in Liverpool’s side and now, they are a mere inconvenience in their push to equal United’s record of 20 domestic league titles.

Liverpool’s dominance showcased exactly how the two clubs have gone in completely different directions over the past five years and unfortunately for United, the gap between them is only getting bigger.
