Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Anthony Martial as the forward’s public relationship is thrown into doubt following allegations of cheating.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Sevilla but has struggled to adjust to his new side, with a return to Manchester United this summer increasingly likely.
The Spanish side are reluctant to make his loan move permanent and according to new reports, his girlfriend, Melanie Da Cruz, has also cut ties with the Frenchman.
“Love wasn’t enough,” the 30-year-old wrote on social media. “Sometimes to win a race you have to stop running,” she added in a cryptic message.

A source close to the situation expanded on the matter according to the Daily Star. “Things aren’t going brilliantly for Martial on the pitch and it looks like life at home has been rocky too,” the source is quoted as saying.
“Melanie’s statement came as a shock to her fans and it’s probably the icing on the cake after a bad few months for Anthony. They’ve had their struggles. All they care about going forward is the well-being of their son and raising him amicably.”
