Erik ten Hag identifies first transfer target if he becomes Man United manager

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is understood to be a leading candidate to take over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

Although the Red Devils have yet to officially announce who will be the side’s new permanent boss, transfer links depending on who gets the job has already emerged.

According to a recent report from the Telegraph, should ten Hag be named as Rangnick’s successor, he will ask the club to raid Ajax and sign winger Antony.

Speaking about the achievement, Antony, who spoke to his club’s official website took the time to reveal his love for his Amsterdam club.

“Playing for Ajax meant I was able to win gold at the Olympics,” the attacker said.

“I am so grateful to Ajax and have really come to love this great club.”

In addition to his Olympic medal, last season also saw Antony lift the Eredivise title and Dutch cup.

He is currently valued at just over £31m (Transfermarkt) and has three years left on his current contract.
