Manchester United academy star Alejandro Garnacho has been pictured training alongside Lionel Messi.
The 17-year-old was a surprise inclusion in Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers, which is sure to beg the question when will he be involved with United’s first-team training camp?
According to TN Deportivo, Garnacho is likely to make his senior international debut when Argentina take on Venezuela tomorrow night or against Ecuador on Wednesday.
Scaloni’s side are busy preparing for those games but Garnacho had to take a moment to get a picture alongside the seven-time Ballon d’Or-winning Lionel Messi.
The star-struck starlet shared the picture on Instagram and wrote: “Dreams really do come true. Idol.”

Also, in the Argentina squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers are Angel Di Maria, Angel Correa, Lautaro Martinez and several other big names.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to be playing in the same team alongside star players of that kind of level,” Garnacho told ManUtd.com.
“And I’m going to learn loads from them, grab the opportunity and improve as a player.
“This [call-up] will get people talking about me but I’m still young and it’s the beginning of my career and I’m just focused on playing football and on improving.”
