Three fixture changes in the Premier League for Manchester United

The Premier League has confirmed three key dates for Manchester United.

The trip to Anfield will now take place on Tuesday 19 April at 8pm, after initially being postponed due to Liverpool’s involvement in the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend. That means there will be no football for Ralf Rangnick’s side for 18 days following tonight’s game against Atletico Madrid.

Four days after the trip to Merseyside, United travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, in a 12:30 kick-off that could prove crucial to the top-four race.

On top of that, United take on Brentford at home on Monday 2 May (8pm) – but that fixture could be subject of further rescheduling if United are still in the Champions League at that stage.

Tonight’s game will give us a better indication about how far United can go in Europe this season. The Reds host Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 tie with the scoreline level after the first meeting in Madrid.

BT Sport will be showing that trip to Emirates, whereas the games against Liverpool and Brentford will be televised on Sky Sports.
