Manchester United starlet James Garner attracting interest from Premier League clubs

Premier League clubs Leeds United (for now…) and Southampton are reportedly planning to sign Manchester United youngster James Garner in the summer.

These are wild claims considering how well Garner has done on loan at Nottingham Forest this season, recently voted into the Championship Team of the Month, because there’s surely no way United will let him leave permanently in the summer.

According to The Sun, Leeds have been tracking Garner since he was sent out on loan at Nottingham Forest and they’re planning to try their luck in the summer.

The only way I can see us letting Garner go next season is on loan to another Premier League club, and Leeds currently find themselves in the middle of a relegation scrap.

Southampton are also said to be keeping a close eye on England U21 international.

A loan move could work for all parties but United should wait and allow Garner time to impress on the pre-season tour before making any premature calls.

He is certainly better positioned for a place in the team than he was a year ago.
