Manchester United loanee Tahith Chong returns to Birmingham City

Tahith Chong has returned to Birmingham City to finish his loan spell, until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old required surgery in early November and it was decided back then that he would have that treatment back at United, despite agreeing to spend the season on loan in the Championship.

Now that the Dutch forward has completed his rehabilitation and has returned to Birmingham City, he can look forward to getting back out on the pitch and doing what he does best.

Birmingham City released a video on social media showing Chong return to the club in his training gear. He is set to join up with United teammate Teden Mengi, who suffered a hamstring injury last night playing against Bournemouth.

The clip also shows Chong back training with his team-mates, which is great to see from a recovery point of view.

Chong had started in 13 out of a possible 14 matches in the Championship prior to his injury — when he ruptured a thigh tendon.

We wish Chong and Mengi the very best at Birmingham City between now and the end of the season.
