Lille starlet Angel Gomes was left shocked when Lionel Messi gave him his shirt after Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-1 victory over the defending Ligue 1 champions at the weekend.
Perhaps it gave him the boost needed after suffering a hammering on the pitch.
It appears as though the football icon approached Gomes, formerly of the Manchester United academy, and handed over his shirt.
The pair traded both of their shirts following a brief exchange.

Gomes went on to reveal that he had asked Messi for his shirt – but it’s not something the Argentina superstar does usually…
According to The Mirror, Messi refused Mitchell van Bergen’s request for his shirt following his PSG debut, and he said: “I don’t ask for shirts, I usually swap them, but I asked Zidane once.
“If there is an Argentine I swap it with him, but, unless someone asks me, I’m not asking anyone.”
Too cool for school! Or he’s just over it.
Messi scored in the win over Lille at the weekend for his second Ligue 1 goal of the season.
