(Video) Manchester United crash out of FA Cup after penalties vs Boro

Manchester United have been knocked out of the FA Cup after a penalty shootout defeat to Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho’s opener wasn’t enough as Boro equalised through a dodgy goal. There was a clear handball in the build-up, which teed one of their players up to assist the squared finish as Matt Crooks tapped home.

The result only adds pressure to upcoming games because United are not out of the FA Cup. It was our only probable chance of winning silverware this year, which sets us all up for a disappointing end to the season.

Boro won the shootout 7-8 to provide one of the biggest upsets in the FA Cup this season.

Meanwhile, Dean Henderson was unable to save any of the penalties, coming close on one occasion.

Elanga’s teammates gathered around him after the shootout, and the fans sung his new chant.

They kick on into the next round with a dream.
