Fred shows brilliant mentality with early return to training after international duty

Can you feel all that love for Fred? We are all about sharing it.

The midfielder has been busy whilst most of the other Manchester United players had a break off since the last Premier League match when the Reds beat West Ham at Old Trafford.

Some even travelled to Dubai and some can’t be bothered to play against Middlesbrough the FA Cup.

Fred has been away on international duty with Brazil for their World Cup qualifiers and, despite being an unused substitute against Paraguay the other night, he is back preparing for the next match at Carrington.

This wasn’t to be expected.

When Ralf Rangnick confirmed that he gave Edinson Cavani two extra days off after his games with Uruguay (via Manchester Evening News), he also said that those players involved in matches over in South America were unlikely to feature against Middlesbrough on Friday night.

The game being moved to Friday night didn’t help some of our internationals, with Alex Telles also unlikely to feature (we’ve not seen any pictures of the left-back at training this morning) after his first competitive start in a Brazil shirt in their 4-0 win midweek.

But Fred has uploaded a photo to Instagram stories to say that he is back at Carrington, which could put him in contention to face Chris Wilder’s men, who we expect to have a real go at United in tomorrow night’s fixture. We believe the Brazilian midfielder would be an asset to United for this game.

His lack of involvement against Paraguay could bode well in pre-match discussions on whether this fixture has come too soon for Fred, but he did play the full 90 minutes against Ecuador in their previous World Cup qualifier.

Let us know in the comments if you think Fred should start against Boro?
