David de Gea wins Manchester United Player of the Month for January

David de Gea is Manchester United’s Player of the Month for January.

This is the third month of the season that the Spaniard has been named the Player of the Month, having also won the accolade in December for his incredible performances, and this will likely put him in the frame for United’s Player of the Year come the end of the season.

According to ManUtd.com, United’s first choice goalkeeper picked up 67% of the vote, ahead of Scott McTominay (12%) and, Bruno Fernandes (11%) and Anthony Elanga (10%).

However, he still has some way to go before reaching Peter Schmeichel’s clean sheet record.
