Jesse Lingard’s Manchester United future remains unclear with over 5 hours left in the January transfer window.

We are bringing you all of the news throughout the day at Stretty News, but United were never expected to make any incoming signings.

Donny van de Beek looks set to join Everton, as per Sky Sports, Phil Jones is likely to stay and Lingard is seemingly at a crossroads.

The England midfielder wants regular football and to be in with a chance of playing every week in the Premier League. However, no matter what happens, Lingard will be allowed to leave United on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has provided a fresh update on Lingard’s situation, stating that Newcastle United have offered a bonus and to pay the player’s wages in full for the rest of the season in order to get him on loan.

But United are leaving the Magpies on the long finger and have yet to respond to the offer. It is also noted that United are not interested in doing business with a rival like West Ham.

Time is running out for Lingard and his team to find a route out of Old Trafford. They may just have to wait until the summer before potentially taking all that Saudi money.
