(Video) Roy Keane singles out Man United attacker as Red Devils’ weak link

Manchester United failed to beat Aston Villa for the second time this week after drawing 2-2 during Saturday evening’s Premier League clash at Villa Park.

The Red Devils came into Saturday’s domestic clash against Steven Gerrard’s Villians off the back of a 1-0 victory against the same opponents in the Third Round of the FA Cup on Monday.

However, despite going 2-0 up following a brace from attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes, United was unable to hold on and eventually ended up sharing the points after Villa completed a second-half comeback.

Assessing his old side’s performance at the end of the game, ex-skipper Roy Keane picked out striker Edinson Cavani as Ralf Rangnick’s weak link and admitted to feeling surprised the South American was allowed to see out the full 90-minutes.

  1. Man United has a non existent Midfield. Matic is SLOW, Fred is CLUELESS, Scot is INCONSISTENT ! Just not upto the mark. United needs to bring in fresh Young, Skilled, Speedy midfielders to have any chance of finishing in Top6!! Forget top4 !!!

  2. Midfield was the weak link against the Villains last night. Matic and Fred could not get hold of the ball and control midfield. If they had been able to do so, Cavani may have had more chance to impose himself on the game – you cannot expect him to score if he is defending his own goal !

  3. Honestly, Roy Keane should be Utd’s manager! He would sort that lot out in no time. As for Greenwood, I can see he does some good stuff but he’s totally selfish with the ball. Last night, he had Cavani unmarked to his left but insisted on taking a useless shot at goal. He does this all the time. Complete unawareness about the positioning of others. I’m not even going to bother watching Utd anymore. Complete waste of time. Unless Roy Keane, takes over, that is! 😉
