After naming a starting 11 that excluded star attackers Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo, Rangnick would have been delighted to see midfielder Bruno Fernandes open the game’s scoring.
A clever free-kick routine saw the Portuguese creator fire in a low driven strike which somehow managed to squeeze its way past goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
