Ralf Rangnick has given an honest response to questions about Anthony Martial’s whereabouts.
We already know that the France international wants to leave Manchester United this month, which is not something Rangnick would stop as long as the club gets an offer it deems acceptable.
But one would think he could still offer something from the bench – on night’s like these when 2 goals proved too little to get the result we needed against Aston Villa.
Rangnick told reporters after the 2-2 draw why Martial wasn’t among the eight substitutes (via Simon Peach): “Yes, he didn’t want to be in the squad. He would have been in the squad normally but he didn’t want to and that was the reason why he didn’t travel with us yesterday.”

That sounds like a player forcing a transfer – and one leaving Old Trafford under a grey cloud.
Martial has just given up and we have enough players with that habit.
He failed to blossom into the player many thought he could become and his international career nosedived just like his club career will unless he improves in the near future.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of interest and the transfer window is open.
