(Video) Marcus Rashford ignores loose ball inside the box vs Aston Villa

Marcus Rashford made little effort to claim a loose ball inside the Aston Villa penalty area in the last 20 minutes of tonight’s FA Cup win over Aston Villa.

“Why didn’t he run to the ball?”

I’m guessing that sounds like something that came out of quite a few of your mouths tonight, in the 73rd minute of tonight’s FA Cup encounter against Aston Villa, when Marcus Rashford appeared to ignore a loose ball inside the box.

The attack started when Mason Greenwood was found with yards of space on the right flank.

He cut in before forcing a save from Emiliano Martinez, but Rashford didn’t show any urgency to collect the ball on the rebound.

I don’t think Rashford actually gets there but not trying is very strange.

This is not the first time this season that Rashford’s body language has come under question, hence why he felt the need to come out and address recent reports about unrest in the dressing room.

Something isn’t right and I hope Ralf Rangnick can find a way to build Rashford’s confidence again.
