Manchester United’s potential Champions League round of 16 opponents

We now have a clear idea of who Manchester United could face in the Champions League round of 16.

After topping Group F, the Red Devils will be drawn against one of the runners-up in the other six groups, though teams cannot be drawn against sides from the same country at this stage of the competition.

Chelsea were the only English side not to top their respective group as Juventus pipped them to first place in Group H.

A full list of opponents that we may be drawn against:

  • Atletico Madrid (Spain)
  • Benfica (Portugal)
  • Inter Milan (Italy)
  • Paris Saint-Germain (France)
  • RB Salzburg (Austria)
  • Sporting Lisbon (Portugal)

The draw takes place on Monday 13 December.

While the event begins at 11:00 GMT, I suspect we will be waiting for some time for the draw to be made, but you can keep track of everything with Stretty News: Twitter, Facebook, or here on the blog.

RB Salzburg would be an interesting tie for Rangnick.
