Blow for Man Utd in Haaland race after Mino Raiola takes nonsensical swipe

Fact check: Manchester United have won the Premier League thirteen times.

According to Mino Raiola, who represents Erling Haaland and United midfielder Paul Pogba, Man City have won the Premier League title more times with a whopping five. He clearly has a different timeframe for when the Premier League began, in 1992.

For someone who sees themselves as an expert on valuations in the transfer market, who would’ve known that he doesn’t see the real difference in 13 > 5?

On top of that, United have a total of 20 league titles compared to City’s 7. I don’t even want to know how Raiola would assess that, but United need to get back to the top soon. It has been far too long.

Raiola’s nonsensical swipe at United comes at a time he is expected to be negotiating Paul Pogba’s contract at the club, but it also comes amid reports that Erling Haaland will soon leave Borussia Dortmund.

The Italian agent confirmed that Haaland is ready to take the next step. He named a number of clubs he could join – but not United – and incorrectly pointed out that City have more Premier League titles than us.

“Erling Haaland will take the next step,” Raiola said, as quoted by Sport1 and Fabrizio Romano. “Bayern, Real, Barcelona, Man City — these are the big clubs he can join. Man City won the PL five times, significantly more than Man United. When we moved to BVB, we knew that this step would come.”

United have always been linked with a move for the Norwegian goalscorer and it is believed that Ralf Rangnick views him as a future target, so this definitely comes as a blow, even though Raiola is talking through his rear end.

But how are Barcelona going to afford Haaland when they are in the middle of a financial crisis?

On a side note, I think we should focus on Jude Bellingham rather than Haaland.
