Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is fighting to keep his job in charge of Manchester United, with several outlets claiming the 48-year-old is now set to be sacked after nearly three years in charge.

Manchester United have won just one of their last seven Premier League games, a run which has piled the pressure on Solskjaer. The 4-1 to Watford on Saturday afternoon has been regarded by many as the final nail in Solskjaer’s coffin.

According to journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Solskjaer’s reign at Manchester United is now ‘over’, with the club pressing ahead with plans to dismiss him.

Now, there is footage of Manchester United assistant coach Mike Phelan arriving at the club’s Carrington training ground this morning, with Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford also spotted, as seen below.

SN’s verdict on the news…
The day after a game is usually reserved for recovery but it remains to be seen whether the players have been called into Carrington for talks over Solskjaer’s future.

As several reports claim, Solskjaer is set to leave his post as United boss and Woodward’s presence at the training ground is telling. Phelan, who has been Solskjaer’s right-hand-man since 2018, is also expected to leave.
