(Video) Anthony Elanga copies famous Cristiano Ronaldo celebration as youngster scores brace

Anthony Elanga is enjoying quite the year at Manchester United but several milestones have been reached on the international stage as well. The young Swedish winger made his debut for the club at the end of last season and has developed with each passing week since.

Elanga is now a regular in Sweden’s U19 setup and was once again the star of the show as they faced Bosnia & Herzegovina on Friday.

He opened the scoring in the first half with a perfect penalty and proceeded to copy his club team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who famously silenced the Camp Nou with his ‘calma’ celebration in 2012 whilst playing for Real Madrid.

With the game won in the second half, Elanga finished off their rivals after the interval with a neat finish.

SN’s verdict on Anthony Elanga’s development…
Opportunities in the first team have been scarce for the 19-year-old and perhaps he will be feeling unlucky after impressing in pre-season. Elanga scored twice for United in this year’s preparations but had his off-season cut short due to injury.

Elanga has already scored his first goal for the club, the opening goal at Molineux against Wolverhampton on the final day of last season.

He might have to wait for a real shot at a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but that breakthrough is edging ever closer and clearly, he has already taken inspiration from one of his team-mates.
