Cristiano Ronaldo is urging his team-mates to support Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is under increasing pressure to produce results at Manchester United amid a string of poor performances.
According to reports, many players within the first-team squad at the club have lost faith in the manager but are now being implored to support Solskjaer by superstar forward Ronaldo.
That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim that Ronaldo is ‘holding the dressing-room together’.
As per the report, he has urged his team-mates to down tools despite what they might think of Solskjaer’s tactical nous until there’s a permanent managerial change.
Furthermore, players are said to have been baffled by Solskjaer’s selections, with the decision to pick Daniel James two days before he was sold to Leeds mentioned.
Clearly, there are problems behind closed doors at Manchester United and whether Solskjaer has the means to solve them remains to be seen.
