Police on alert ahead of Manchester United v Liverpool over protest fears

A report suggests Manchester United fans could stage another big protest against the Glazers for the Liverpool game at Old Trafford this weekend.

The fans have had to put up with the Glazers for many years now and watch them strip the club to a point many don’t recognise what they once loved. Many of us have stuck around but the heartache is ever present.

There was outrage last season which led to supporters storming onto the pitch at Old Trafford. It was a successful attempt to force last season’s home game against Liverpool to be rearranged for safety reasons.

According to the Daily Star, police are on alert due to fears that something like this could happen again.

Scaremongering at its worst.

United may step up security because it’s Liverpool, but I seriously doubt there will be anything to worry about on Sunday re: match cancellation over protests.
