Manchester United are considering a move for French international and Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni, according to reports. The young midfielder enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1 last year and has now caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The 21-year-old has even made a name for himself in the France team after starting last week’s UEFA Nations League final against Spain, impressing in the 2-1 win.
Manchester United are weak in midfield and despite heavy investments over the last summer, no concerted effort was made to recruit a midfielder. That could be about to change, however, as new reports claim the Old Trafford club is contemplating a move for Tchouameni.

That’s according to 90min, who add that Manchester United are paying close attention to Tchouameni. A move is said to have been considered over the summer but will now target a move next year.
Furthermore, Declan Rice remains an option for Manchester United whilst Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips is also the subject of extensive scouting.
