Jadon Sancho’s start to life at Manchester United hasn’t gone to plan so far but the 21-year-old has the chance to impress tonight as he features from the start for England against Andorra.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has recently shown promising signs at club level, with the cameo against Everton last weekend being his best outing in a red shirt since completing the summer move.
England manager Gareth Southgate has been speaking about Sancho ahead of the encounter with Andorra, insisting his qualities will be useful against the resilient home side.

“This is the type of game where we need players that are good in those one-against-one situations, good between the lines between the midfield and their defence. They’ve got the freedom to go and play,” Southgate told ITV when asked what his message to Sancho was before the game.
“We want to see them try things, they won’t always come off. It’ll be against a packed defence but we need those creative players in those areas of the pitch.”
A win for England would see the Three Lions take another step towards qualifying for the World Cup in 2022.
