Manchester United are growing frustrated with youngster Facundo Pellistri’s playing time at Alaves, who he joined earlier this year on a season-long loan, and are looking into potentially cutting the year-long arrangement short, according to reports.

The 19-year-old enjoyed an impressive pre-season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as several first-team regulars were granted an extended holiday following their involvement in this summer’s European Championship.

According to a report from Goal, Manchester United are now considering ending his loan spell at Alaves after reviewing a number of factors, which includes playing time.

Pellistri has featured in seven La Liga games so far this season, but only one of those appearances has come from the start. Furthermore, he has accumulated just 195 minutes this year, according to Transfermarkt.

As per the report from Goal, there is an agreement in place between Manchester United and Alaves which allows the Old Trafford club to terminate Pellistri’s loan if he has not played 1,000 minutes before December, a landmark he is looking increasingly unlikely to reach.

Pellistri is yet to make his official first-team debut for the club but has featured in unofficial matches. The young winger was on the bench in United’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain last season.
