(Video) Khabib Nurmagomedov opens up on ‘honour’ of speaking to Man Utd players

Former UFC champion and martial arts legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is an avid football fan and has in the past gone public with his love for the game.

The Russian combat sports legend, who is believed to be supporting Real Madrid, claimed that Ronaldo told him about his move to Manchester United one month before the deal was announced.

Khabib was in attendance at Old Trafford this weekend as he watched Manchester United against Everton but he wasn’t treated to an enthralling spectacle, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side failing to beat the well-organised visitors.

The 33-year-old spoke to his YouTube channel during his time at the Theatre of Dreams, with special praise reserved for two first-team players at the club.

“You know, Pogba is a world champion,” he said on the Khabib Nurmagomedov channel. “Cristiano is a legend, European champion. How many times he won the Champions League? It was (an) honour to talk with them before the match.

“It was very interesting for me, like, how they’re feeling, what energy, what they’re doing the night before the match. I’m an athlete too and I have this feeling. It was very interesting.”
