“Not good enough” – some Man Utd fans are unhappy with player after Villarreal win

Manchester United came away with all three points against Villarreal after a dramatic couple of minutes in stoppage time. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looked to have been held to a draw but a winner from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 95th minute ensured all three points for the Reds.

Solskjaer made wholesale changes for the visit of Unai Emery’s side, with three regulars in defence all unavailable for the clash. The suspended Aaron Wan-Bissaka was replaced by Diogo Dalot and the Portugal international endured a torrid time on his right flank.

Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma had the better of Dalot on almost every occasion and could run past him with ease, which resulted in chances for the visitors. Thankfully for Manchester United, David de Gea was at his brilliant best.

Dalot’s performance highlighted United’s reliance on Wan-Bissaka defensively and some fans were far from impressed with his showing in the 90-minute affair at Old Trafford, as seen below.

Wan-Bissaka was handed a two-match ban for his red card against Young Boys two weeks ago and will miss the next game against Atalanta, which means Dalot is likely to be in the line-up again against the Bergamo side.

Earlier this week, reports claimed Dalot had resorted to sleeping at the AC Milan training ground in a bid to revive his Manchester United career.
