Cristiano Ronaldo nominated for Premier League prize after first month back at Man Utd

Cristiano Ronaldo’s second coming at Manchester United couldn’t have gone much better than it has. Ronaldo sealed his sensational return to the club on deadline day earlier this month and has proceeded to do what he does best.

Less than a month has passed since he signed on the dotted line for United once again and the 36-year-old has now been rewarded for his fine performances.

Ronaldo has been nominated for September’s ‘Player of the Month’ award by the Premier League after scoring three goals in as many games in the tournament.

In addition to boasting a goal per game record in the league, Ronaldo is also equalling that feat in the Champions League – Europe’s most prestigious tournament.

Clearly, the suggestions that he doesn’t add anything to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad has swiftly been squashed by the superstar forward, who has instantly become one of the first names on the manager’s team sheet.

Ronaldo was named on a six-man shortlist for the award, with players from Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City all included. You can vote for Ronaldo to win the award by visiting the official voting page on the Premier League website.

Should he take home the award, it would mark a remarkable first 30 days back at Manchester United – and it would be thoroughly deserved.
