Solskjaer confirms Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to make debut against Newcastle

Cristiano Ronaldo is home and he’s ready to play.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer addressed the media this afternoon at Carrington for his pre-Newcastle press conference.

Ronaldo making his second debut for the club has been the talk of the town for the past month and it is Newcastle who are the unlucky outfit preparing to face the wrath of the Portuguese superstar.

The manager would have followed Ronaldo’s career closely – even from the day he left Old Trafford in 2009 for Real Madrid. He’s spent the past three seasons in Italy with Juventus but Ronaldo is ready to compete in the Premier League again.

Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst was at the press conference and has quoted Solskjaer’s confirmation that Ronaldo will feature against Newcastle on Saturday.

Solskjaer didn’t reveal whether Ronaldo would start but he was never likely to give away team information because he never does that.
