Fabrizio Romano denies reports linking midfielder to Man Utd

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Manchester United had entered into talks with the representatives of highly-rated midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Those reports were covered on Stretty News but the claims came out of nowhere and although under-the-radar deals could still happen in this day and age, they are highly unlikely, and thus, reports were treated with a pinch of caution.

Now, journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has denied reports linking Tchouaméni to the club, insisting that the Old Trafford hierarchy are not working on a deal to make him the fourth signing of the summer, as seen below.

In this episode Dale, Shaun and Joe discuss the opening game of the new Premier League season after Manchester United beat Leeds 5-1.

The Monaco star has three years remaining on his current deal with the French club and any deal could prove to be too costly for the club, having already spent a large chunk of their budget on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

Furthermore, a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso was also denied by Romano. The France international has one year remaining on his deal at the German club but is currently not heading to Manchester United.
