Video: Scott McTominay tried to steal Bruno Fernandes’ ball after Leeds hat-trick

As if he wasn’t already, Bruno Fernandes made a permanent dent in the heart of Manchester United fans across the globe when he scored his first hat-trick for the club in their Premier League curtain-raiser against Leeds this weekend.

Manchester United came out with a bang in their first game, comfortably sweeping aside an unprepared Leeds side. Goals from Fernandes, Greenwood, and Fred ensured the perfect opening day for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Scott McTominay was also a standout figure in the fixture but didn’t quite replicate the two-goal show of last year when Leeds’ 16-year wait for league football at Old Trafford was spoiled by the Scotland international.

McTominay was only one goal short of taking the ball home with him last year and he seems to be jealous of United’s Portuguese maestro as he tried to knick it off him following the full-time whistle, as seen above.
