Paul Pogba is taking all the plaudits for his performance in Manchester United’s Premier League curtain-raiser against Leeds earlier this weekend.
The 28-year-old started the game on the left but could be seen roaming in a free role, often popping up centrally to combine with Bruno Fernandes in tight spaces.
Fernandes applied the finishing touches but it was very much Pogba who acted as United’s very own quarter-back, notching up a breathtaking four assists in the game. In doing so, he became only the seventh player to assist four goals in one Premier League game.
Souness 🗣 "For me, the star of the show was Greenwood."
Micah 🗣 "Pogba's had four assists."
Souness 🗣 "We expect that from a 100 million pound man."@MicahRichards not allowing Graeme Souness to forget Paul Pogba's performance against Leeds United pic.twitter.com/IvRPkHo6ir

Former Liverpool player Graeme Souness has been heavily critical of Pogba in the past, often struggling to hold back on the midfielder and the Sky Sports pundit has now delivered his latest jibe.
The Sky Sports panel, as seen above, were debating the standout performers in the 5-1 win over Leeds when Micah Richard’s suggested that Pogba impressed more than Souness’ choice, Mason Greenwood. The former Manchester City defender was met by a stern response: “We expect that from a £100m man,” Souness replied.
Perhaps we should call him Sourness?
